Beautiful and large wooden salad bowl designed by Jean Dobré and produced by Tropic-Art (Brazil) around the 1970s. It can also be used as a bowl or a bowl. Lightweight.
Most of the pieces designed by Jean Dobré and produced by Tropic-Art were handcrafted using the "madeira taqueada" technique, which consisted of seamlessly joining different rectangular pieces of wood. The woods used were Jacaranda, Pau Marfim, or Imbui.
It shows some signs of age, such as scratches, but is generally in good condition. It does not appear to have been used for its intended purpose.
Label and manufacturer's mark engraved on the base.
