A charming bronze miniature of a dog with an original curled tail, in the purest style of Karl Hagenauer or Walter Bosse. Other pieces such as toothpick holders and corkscrews with the same dog and marked with the original Hagenauer stamp (whw) can be found on the Internet, so this figure for sale can be attributed with complete certainty to Karl Hagenauer.
Excellent condition. Patina consistent with its age. Metal has not been cleaned.
I cannot confirm that this is an original Hagenauer piece because it lacks the workshop mark or stamp, but my experience with original pieces by the artist leads me to believe that, given its design and high-quality workmanship in such a small piece, it may be an original work from Hagenauer's early days. Or perhaps, due to its tiny size, it was not marked, or, as is known, many of his early pieces were not marked. In that case, this is an extremely rare and charming model. I am personally in love with it!
