Table lamp of Italian design designed by Gino Sarfatti and produced by Arteluce. Model 600P. First edition ca. 1960s.
The condition of the diffuser shade and the aluminum lamp holder is very poor. The original paint was worn by the heat of the bulb and was subsequently repainted poorly, which was also worn by the heat.
The important thing is that both the shade and the lamp holder are not deformed or damaged. The restoration involves disassembling the shade and the lamp holder to completely strip the old paint and re-lacquer or repaint it with white paint. Naturally, the original Arteluce brand label was also destroyed by the heat.
Otherwise, it is in very good condition. The leather base is intact, with its beautiful patina of age and obvious signs of use, but without any breaks, and it retains the original electrical wiring. The lamp works perfectly.
A designer lamp at a good price for people with technical skills and a desire to restore a small gem of Italian design!
