An elegant and sculptural "Swan" gravy boat, designed by the renowned artist Christian Fjerdingstad and produced by Christofle for their prestigious Gallia collection. This piece is the last version of the model, characterized by its clean lines and sophisticated design inspired by the silhouette of a swan.
This is a very special piece, as it comes from the old stock of a jewelry store that closed decades ago. Therefore, it can be considered a true "New Old Stock" (NOS): an antique item that never entered the mainstream market and has remained in storage for years. It still retains the original sales label from the 1960s, with a marked price of 23,000 spanish pesetas (equivalent to €139), an exceptional detail that provides additional historical and documentary value for collectors.
The gravy boat is silver-plated and has been surface-cleaned, preserving the charm and patina characteristic of this type of piece. It bears the original Christofle Gallia hallmarks, guaranteeing its authenticity and provenance.
Important: This is the last version of the model and, unfortunately, it does not include the original swan-headed spoon, an accessory that came with some units and is now particularly difficult to find. It also does not include its original box.
A magnificent piece of 20th-century French design, ideal for Christofle collectors, lovers of Art Deco and high-quality tableware, or as an elegant decorative object.
