An elegant, small, silver-plated milk jug from the iconic "Mercury" tea and coffee service, designed by renowned Italian designer Lino Sabattini and produced by Christofle Gallia in France.
Considered a magnificent example of mid-century modernist design, the Mercury model stands out for its clean lines, cylindrical shape, and distinctive circular handle—elements that perfectly reflect Sabattini's minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic.
The main distinguishing feature of this piece is its New Old Stock (NOS) status, as it comes from the old stock of a jewelry store that closed many years ago. This means it has never been used regularly and has remained in storage for decades.
The piece is made of silver-plated metal and retains the original Christofle Gallia hallmarks, certifying its authenticity. It has been superficially cleaned to improve its appearance while preserving the character of a vintage piece, but a thorough cleaning, especially of the interior, is recommended.
